Dog Days of Summer

Hello All! Things have been busy here at the Meyn household. Avery is almost 4 months old and Braylon will be turning 3 in just a couple of weeks. Where does the time go? Just seemed like yesterday when Braylon was Avery's age.

Braylon has been a very big boy the last few weeks. He is almost completely potty trained. A few accidents here and there, but we are so excited! He is becoming such a big boy.

This past month has been crazy busy for us. We had Avery's baptisim, our 4th anniversary and Father's Day all in one week. Enjoy some pictures from the last month. It is my goal to get a 4 month post up here on Friday! ;)

Beginning of Summer / 3 months

We spent our first day at the pool this weekend. We went to Rachel's apartment complex and had a good time. Braylon loves the water but does not like not being able to touch the bottom of the pool. It was too cute!

We had our annual neighborhood block party on Saturday. We had a lot of fun enjoying the beautiful weather and meeting some new neighbors. They had the fire department show up with two fire trucks and the ambulance. Braylon was in love! They also hooked up the hose and let the kids play in the water. Braylon was the first one in and LOVED IT!!! They also had a live band and outdoor movie at dark. We didn't enjoy the last two as some little boy threw a HUGE fit when we had to go home to feed Avery, so we didn't make it back.

Some little girl turned 3 months old this past week. I can't belive how much she has changed over the last month. She is such a smiley baby. She is begin to laugh too!

Back to work :(

Well, I am back at work now. I started on Tuesday, oh what a difficult day. I am glad that this will be a short week for me. I now have even less time to do much of a post, so I thought I would just share a few pictures. Enjoy!

2 Months / Ear Piercing / Mother's Day

Avery turned two months old last weekend. I can't believe how fast this is all going. She is growing great and is a very happy and healthy two month old. She is sleeping great at night. She usually sleeps from 9 or 10 until 3 or 4. It has been great!

Two Month Statistics:

Height: 22 inches (45th percentile)

Weight: 12lbs 12ozs (91st percentile)

Head Circumference: 15 inches (66th percentile)

I will take Avery's picture every month next to Raggedy Ann to she how much she has grown!

We got Avery's ears pierced on Saturday! She did so well, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. She didn't cry near as much as when she got her shots at the doctors office. They pierced her ears, she cried a little bit, mommy picked her up and she fell asleep! She looks so adorable! I Love them! Here is a before shot with daddy and an after shot with mommy.

Braylon was such a good boy while Avery got her ears pierced that he got to ride the ponies. After that, not such a good boy. He took a piece of clothing from one store and ran from Aunt Robyn into another store. Good thing the alarms didn't go off. After that we went home. He is so stinking ornery.


We had a wonderful Mother's Day. Chris and the kids got me an amazing day at the spa. It includes a 60 min massage, 60 min manicure, 60 min pedicure and a hand and foot wrap. I was totally not expecting that, but am so grateful. I have been needing to do something on my own for a while and this is perfect! I have my appointment set for Thursday!!!

I just want to wish my mom a wonderful Mother's Day! You are the greatest and I love you!

Happy Mother's day to Nellie (Chris's mom). You raised two amazing kids and I am so lucky that I got to marry one!!

We will be heading to Hanover on Friday for Chris's sister Jessica's wedding. We can't wait to see Jessica and Aaron united in marriage...and to party!!!
