Last part of June

June has been a very busy month for the Meyn Family. Two weekends ago we went back to Hanover for Chris's 10 year class reunion. We had a great time catching up with all his classmates. Then on Sunday we headed to Centralia for my little sister Rosie's Bridal Shower. I think she had a very successful bridal shower. Tons of great gifts!

This past weekend we all headed to Wentzville, MO (St. Louis) to see our friends the Lickteigs. Dom and Emily just had a baby boy, Carter Phillip, on May 8th. This was our first time meeting the little guy. He was such a sweet baby boy. I think I only heard him cry once the whole weekend. No exaggeration either. Braylon absolutely LOVED baby Carter! That is all he wanted to do was see Baby Carter and give his binky. So cute. He was so sweet and gentle with him. I was quite surprised. Braylon is going to be a great big brother some day. On Saturday we went to a place called the Magic House in St. Louis. It is an indoor activity center. They had all kinds of things for children to do and learn. It was a lot of fun. Then later that afternoon Chris and Dom took Braylon swimming. Braylon LOVES the water and would have stayed at the pool all night. He wasn't very happy when Mommy made him go home. We headed back home on Sunday after lunch. Thank you Lickteigs for a wonderfull weekend!

Happy Anniversary Hubby!!!

Happy 3rd Anniversary Chris! I can't believe it has been three years already, even though it seems longer than that. :) You are such an amazing husband. I don't know how I got so lucky to have you in my life. I can't wait to share many many more years with you.
I LOVE YOU!!

Busy Busy

Man, I really feel I have been neglecting my blog lately. But Chris, Braylon and I have been so busy this summer. We are only staying in KC one weekend all summer. That is a lot of traveling!

Two weekends ago, Braylon went and stayed with his Nana and Papa Feldkamp. He had a great time and I was told he was a really good boy. He slept through the night in his own bed except the first night when he slept with Papa. I am sure my dad will never do that again. Braylon moves A LOT in his sleep. :) But they said he ate great and played hard. I am sure he can't wait to go back. He was asking where they went on Monday. Chris and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary early that weekend. We had a great time together. The hotel room at the Argosy was awesome. It was nice and relaxing and we enjoyed getting to sleep in.

This past weekend we headed to Hanover for the Meyn Family Reunion. Along the way we stopped in Manhattan to have lunch with some friends we hadn't seen in awhile. It was so nice see you Nikki and Zac. We need to do it more often! We left Braylon at my brothers house so we could actually enjoy our conversation and dinner with our friends. (Braylon is an attention hog) Braylon had fun at my brothers though. He made some new friends with Ryan's neighborhood boys. I don't think he wanted to leave, but we needed to get on the road to Hanover. We had a great time in Hanover. We don't make it there often enough, but Braylon felt totally at home and remembered everything. He sure loves his Nana and Papa Meyn. Saturday night we helped set up for the reunion. That included a TON of balloons which Braylon LOVED. That is all he played with that night, and all he played with at the reunion. He was so busy playing with the balloons that he wouldn't eat lunch on Sunday. We had a great weekend in Hanover and will be heading back there this weekend for Chris's 10 year class reunion.

I'm sorry I have been lacking in the picture department lately. Braylon is always on the go and it is hard to get a good picture of him. I am working on planning his 2nd Birthday Party. I can't believe it is only 3 weeks away. I think we are going to do a Thomas the Train theme since he is obsessed with the movie.

Hopefully I'll start posting more often and with pictures. There will be a new post tomorrow!

First night away from my baby

I just made it through my first night away from Braylon. I almost made it a whole two years without leaving him over night. My physche must of known he was gone, because I was up every hour. Chris and I are celebrating our 3rd year anniversary this weekend. It was our only open weekend of the whole summer. We met my mom and dad in Topeka last night to hand off Braylon. He did so well. I don't think he even cared that mommy and daddy weren't going with him. He was watching his Choo Choo movie (Thomas) and eating his gummy fruit snacks and was as happy as could be. I think this is going to be a lot harder on me than him. He is going to have a busy busy weekend. I believe they are taking him to a wedding on Saturday and bringing him along on the Poker Run on Saturday evening. He will have a lot of fun at both.

Chris and I aren't planning to do much this weekend, but enjoying our time together without have to worry about snacks, naps and mealtimes that last forever (Braylon is an extremely slow eater). We got a room at the Argosy Hotel and Casino thanks to my little sister Rachel (thanks!). We hope we have some luck and come away with more cash than we had when we get there! :)

Hopefully Nana and Papa will take lots of pictures and I'll have some to post after the weekend.

What A Week

The title says it all. It has been quite a week. We had a pretty uneventful weekend. But starting on Thursday Braylon started to not feel too well. He ended up with a cold that gave him a runny nose and a nasty cough. Plus I also think he is getting 4 new teeth. :( He hasn't ran a fever over 99 so we didn't get too worried. Then this weekend I felt the symptoms of a cold coming on, but nothing too bad, but then Sunday night I was sneezing constantly and was starting to feel horrible. I ended up staying home from work on Monday, it was a good thing because I started running a fever and felt like total crap. I haven't felt that bad in a very very long time. I managed to escape the whole flu season without anything, and then this cold knocked me on my butt. But I am finally feeling better, just a stuffy nose now. It is so nice for both of us to be feeling better. BUT...Braylon is in total Mommy mode right now. He just cries and cries when I drop him off at the babysitters (all starting last Thursday). I hate it, he has never cried when I dropped him off before. It makes it so hard to go to work when I have to leave him like that. Ahh...I hope that he outgrows this phase quickly. But don't get me wrong, I LOVE all the extra cuddle time. :)

That is about all that has been going on in our neck of the woods. We are headed for Centralia on Friday for my 10 Year Class Reunion. I can't believe it has been ten years already. I can still remember things so vividly. Anyways, it will be so nice to see everyone and get caught up on everything!

No new pictures to post. Hopefully I'll have some good ones after this weekend!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all! Especially to our mom's. You two are the greatest! Hope you both have a wonderful day.

Man, where has the time gone? It isn't even summer yet and we are already so busy. We have spent a lot of nights these past two weeks outside. We have to mow our yard at least twice a week to keep caught up on it. I have finished planting all our flowers for the spring and summer. Braylon has LOVED being outside and being mommy and daddy's big helper. Braylon loves the water, I can't wait to start taking him to the pool and letting him play in the sprinkler. He thinks it is awesome when it is raining and would play in it all day long. He is becoming such a boy. Love bugs, dirt, everything! It has been so much fun seeing how much he has changed in one year. He wasn't even walking at this time last year. It is so hard to believe he will be two in two months.

Over the past few weeks, we've had some friends over for a BBQ, went to our first Royals game of the year, went to the K-State Spring Game in Manhattan. One thing we have learned from doing all of this is we know for sure that Braylon is a sports FREAK. This kid just loves sports and the atmosphere of being in a stadium. He becomes the most well behaved little boy when we are there. He is so much fun to watch. Below are a few pictures from the above mentioned events.
